An issue in our house.

I have seen the first signs that we have been successful in drawing Mother and Father in to our scheme to give everyone an ungainly nickname.
Why, only last night I heard Mum call Dad by the name of Dadspads.
Yesterday's breakfast was spent in debating over whether Lisa should be addressed as Leelooweewoo, or the vastly different alternative, Wewooleeloo.

Now, I have come to Tampams. I don't understand it, but I can easily see why this would be a nickname for Tammy, since it bears some resemblance to her own name. But, Tammy has been insisting on calling myself Tamspams. It's unnerving and it doesn't make sense to me.
Besides, my rightful name is Neenoo.
But, Tammy and I are amazed at the way this name has spread over the blogs near to us. We have seen Steff222 addressing Tammy as Tamspams. Tammy finds this incredible and so do I. What amazes me is that I see these names being spread further than our own home, and further than the vocabularies of just Tammy, Cherish and I. Leeloo still refuses to use these names. And a scowl is what you'll get if you try to win her over by affectionately wailing "Leeloowewoo".
Funnily enough, Cherish has not yet been christened by any hideous name besides the one she was born to. And besides the narrow escape from being called Virginia.
Why, only yesterday at dinner we were asking each other what Cherishs' unfortunate name should be. Some lunatic came up with Chairbear.
I just had to strike that one down. There were no other alternatives.

And Tammy has started called Nanny, Nanspans. I recognize some sort of pattern there. I can yet see some new ones cropping up for the fortunate souls who have not already been cursed by a name from Tamspams own mind. Ah, Johnpons and Gabespades are coming over for a BBQ this afternoon.
