It must be tuned. But it is sad that I can’t do it myself. I know how, but I wouldn’t trust myself to tune it. Anyway I am used to the sound by now. Oh that is tragic.
Hmm, while I am talking of the health of my drum set, there are many illnesses mine suffers from.
For instance, the rim around the outside of the bass drum is cracked. That is very embarrassing for it. So I don’t take it out much. I reopened the wound yesterday, by accident of course.
Also, maybe ten minutes after I first attempt to play it, (first making sure that everyone is asleep)
The kick pedal, of its own accord, falls to pieces.
Yes you heard me right, and I’m not ruling out the work of spirits. Or imps for that matter, I've got my eye on Cherish.
So after timing ten minutes on my watch, and at the same time banging on the drums, (I know, what a feat) immediately after ten minutes are done I must bend down and cram my head under the stool and laboriously begin reassembling the kick pedal, and anything else I find down there.
It is strange, such things do not happen naturally. Do you agree? I think you must.
Hmm, I think that is all. Except of course the weird grunge or algae growing over the top of (mainly) the snare drum. But I think that is cultivated over years of layers of tape and tissues.
And the suspicious way the hi-hat cymbals tend to close rather violently on my fingers when I least expect it.
A sudden thought. Is there any possibility, have there been any cases where drum sets have been haunted?
Frightfully, Tommy

haha you drum set hates you...what did you do to deserve that huh?
